The "Step for Love - 2023 ICBC (Asia) & Caritas Charity Walk" was successfully held on June 3, 2023 (Saturday) at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. The event has gained title sponsorship from ICBC (Asia), full support from the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, as well as generous contributions from various friendly organizations and members of the community, raising over HK$2M.

The event was graced by the presence of many esteemed guests, including His Eminence Cardinal John Tong, the retired Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong; Dr. Jimmy Jim, Managing Executive Officer and Head of Global Markets Department, ICBC (Asia) Limited; Mr. Albert Wong, Chairman of the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club; Mr Clement Lee, member of the Charity and Outreach Committee; Mr. Mr. Peter Ho, member of the Planning and Development Committee; Rev Joseph Yim, Chief Executive of Caritas - Hong Kong; Rev Peter Lo, Assistant Chief Executive of Caritas - Hong Kong; Mr Chan Ka Kui, GBS, JP, Supervisory Board Member of Hong Kong Housing Society and Mr. Andrew Chau, Honorary Secretary of Friends of Caritas.

As the first major fundraising event in celebration of Caritas' 70th anniversary, the charity walk began with a simple yet grand opening ceremony. Ms Sabrina Chiu, second runner-up of "Stars Academy 2", and veteran singer Mr. Albert Au were guest stars. Mr. Au performed a new song specially composed for Caritas. It has a refreshing melody and catchy lyrics that conveyed the spirit and mission of Caritas.

Despite the hot weather, the nearly 1,500 participants, workers and volunteers remained excited and in high spirits. People of all ages, abilities and backgrounds came together to show care and support for the underprivileged. Apart from enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club along the route, participants could also have fun at game booths and inflatable playgrounds, or take instant photos at photo booths. As the event ended, participants brought home not only gift packs, but also joyful memories of the day.
