The 54th Annual Gathering of Caritas Lok Heep Club was featured as “Connecting You; Connecting Me; Achieving the Beauty of Life” which a “Volunteers’ Connecting Hearts” Service project was launched and 50 volunteers of rehabilitated drug abusers and their family members were recruited to share life story of drug rehabilitation as well as to visit those in need, such as hospice patients, stroke patients and street sleepers/subdivided households. Apart from volunteer-service, self-reflection group sessions were arranged to let volunteers to review and to articulate their inner needs from connecting to others.
Th Awarding Ceremony of the "Volunteers’ Connecting Hearts" was held on 10 December 2022, and Professor Cheung Yuet Wah, MH, Chairman of Action Committee Against Narcotics Sub-committee on Treatment and Rehabilitation was invited as the guest of honor. The four volunteer-teams shared their reflection gained from "Connecting You" caring the needy community; then, from "Connecting Me" precipitating inner experience; and finally, "Achieving the Beauty of Life" consolidating drug rehabilitation and becoming a meaningful life-motivator, which inspired most participants to echo and review their life.
