First Phase of Pilot Scheme on Community Care Service Voucher for the Elderly

The Social Welfare Department began to launch the First Phase (two years) of the Pilot Scheme in September 2013. Adopting a new funding mode, namely the “money-follows-user” approach, eligible elderly may choose community care services that suit their individual needs with the use of service vouchers. Caritas Jockey Club Integrated Day Service Centre for the Elderly and Caritas Mutual Help Project (Non-subvented Day Care Centre) were selected as Recognised Service Providers in Shatin and Shamshuipo districts respectively.
